Otoplasty corrects the malformation of protruding ears and the shape of torn or drooping earlobes.
The malformation of protruding ears is a malformation of the cartilage of the pavilion, often of hereditary origin. From the age of 7, the intervention is possible.
How does an otoplasty work?
This procedure corrects several types of malformations or deformities of the ear size or shape: excessive angulation between the auricle of the ear and the skull, lack of cartilage plication and hypertrophy of the central cartilage.
A pre-anesthetic consultation is compulsory before the intervention to ensure that there are no contraindications to the surgery.
The intervention lasts from 45 minutes to one hour.
What are the consequences of the operation?
In post-operative care, you may experience generally moderate pain with the appearance of oedema and bruising associated with the procedure.
A bandage is applied to the ears. It is replaced within 48 hours of the procedure by a loose compression band to be worn for 2 to 4 weeks.
Cost of otoplasty:
The cost depends on the technique, duration and complexity of the intervention. We will send you an approximate list of prices after receiving your request for a quote.
