Lasik is an eye surgery procedure that corrects the vision of myopes, hyperopia, astigmatism and presbyopia with the laser.

How does a Lasik work ?

This procedure consists in cutting a cover (or flap) at the cornea using the laser and then using an Excimer laser to correct the visual defect (photo ablation). The cover is then put back on without stitching.

Before the operation, there are several things to check: the health of your eye, the thickness of your cornea, absence of pregnancy and the absence of certain diseases.

A pre-anesthetic consultation is mandatory before the operation.

The operation lasts 15 to 30 minutes per eye.

What are the consequences of the intervention ?

You may experience tears, tingling and discomfort in the hours following the procedure. It is mandatory to protect your eyes with sunglasses.
