This intervention is indicated in case of:
- Rotator cap injuries
- Calcification
- Acromioclavicular dislocation
- Biceps tendinopathy
- Subacromial conflict
- Acromioclavicular arthropathy
- Instabilities / dislocations
- Nervous release
This operation is generally performed under general anesthesia, combined with localoregional anesthesia to reduce post-operative pain. After the intervention, the dressings must be changed every 2 days for 21 days. Stitches are removed at that time. Specialized rehabilitation is recommended after the procedure. Cryotherapy (shoulder icing) is effective in reducing post-operative hematoma.
