Spinal surgery focuses on the spine, either the cervical (neck) or dorsal region and more frequently the lumbar region.

– Spinal trauma (related to elderly osteoporosis)

– Spinal deformities (scoliosis)

– Spinal tumors

– Spinal infections (spondylodiscitis).

Most spinal operations are performed by the posterior approach.

After any operation on the spine, you can move within 24-48 hours with the help of a physiotherapist.

In some cases, an external support (corset) must be worn for few weeks.
