Arthroscopy allows the joint to be explored with an endoscope.

There are two main indications for knee arthroscopy: rupture of a cruciate ligament (ACL) and regularization of a meniscus.

Two small incisions are made in the knee area to allow penetration of the arthroscope and surgical instruments. The surgeon can explore your joint on screen and repair the area to be fixed.

The time of the operation is variable. This operation can be performed under general anesthesia, spinal anesthesia or epidural.

A splint or bandage will be applied. Ice application is recommended after a few days of the procedure.
